A love letter to the Nilgiris
The Nilgiris have always called to us — though we each heard that call differently.
For one of us, it began with childhood memories — those magical summer holidays when the hills seemed impossibly green and the air smelled of eucalyptus and tea. The winding roads up the ghats, the first glimpse of the blue mountains, the simple joy of a warm sambar on a cold morning.
For the other, these hills are home — a father who served at the Madras Regimental Centre in Wellington, and a childhood spent among mist-covered cantonments and quiet hill roads.
Our marriage brought these two threads together — childhood wonder and family heritage — weaving us ever closer to the hills.
When both sets of parents settled in Coimbatore, just a couple of hours down the ghat road, the pull became undeniable. All signs pointed to finding our own place in the Nilgiris.
When we found this villa in Camelot Heights — a traditional home with views that take your breath away — we knew we had found our sukun.
Standing on the verandah for the first time, watching the mist roll through the valley, there was no doubt. We poured love into every corner of this home, and today, we’re delighted to share it with you.
Villa Sukun isn’t a hotel. It’s a family home — where your family becomes ours.
